如何破解托福写作中的抽象话题？首先，跟随环球教育罗柏清老师回顾一下2017年2月25日的托福写作题：

　　Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The way a person is dressed in is a good indication of his/her personality.

　　大意：衣如其人，so以貌取人。

　　这道题看起来不太难，大家这么fashion素不素，其实很容易想到点，比如：穿着会跟风follow the trend, 所以看不出来个性。然而缺乏系统的头脑风暴法，写起来欠深度。

　　那怎么个系统法？而深度怎么来？

　　送你2个字：思辨。用更常见的说法，就是逻辑。

　　给大家展示一下头脑风暴的过程：

　　这个观点有没有道理呢？

　　有啊，衣服是皮肤的延展嘛（e.g.颜色看出性格），要不然你花这么多钱买衣服做神马？

　　送你2句格言：

　　Clothing is an extension of our skin.

　　We are what we wear.

　　这个观点有没有不合理的地方呢？

　　这道题关乎a person，这么宽泛怎么写！来～分个类：

　　分类1（身份）：学生，员工-明显2组人都能举出反例

　　分类2（年龄）：小孩，成年人，老人-小孩和老人可以举出反例

　　分类3（收入）：穷人，富人-穷人可以举出反例

　　注意，这里采取了“分类讨论”的方法。

　　这样文章主体段思路就清晰了：正-反-反。

　　正：承认穿着可以在某种程度看出个性

　　反：提出2种例外。

　　而这里，2个反也有选择：

　　1.在分类里面讨论：比如学生的穿着不一定反映个性；员工穿着不一定反映个性。

　　2.在分类之间讨论：特定身份限制穿衣所以不能反映个性；收入限制穿衣所以不能反映个性。

　　逻辑是不是！常严密！

　　构思好了，送你一个大（tao）纲（lu）。

　　第1段：The argument that … (改述题目） is compelling（=persuasive） to some extent, but it contains  conspicuous（=obvious） flaws. Even though clothes do sometimes show the personality of an individual, there are a number of important exceptions（例外）.

　　第2段（正）：Admittedly, garment is an important way for people to express themselves. …

　　第3段（反1）：But many jobs require people to wear a specific type of clothes. In this case, how people are dressed does not tell much about their personality. …

　　高分写法：however, many occupations have dress codes that limit the choice of clothes, and this seriously undercut the power of garments as a personality indicator.

　　第4段（反2）：in addition, the poor have to buy  the cheapest clothes, so how they are dressed cannot show us their personality.

　　高分写法：in addition, the indigent usually have no choice but to purchase the cheapest clothes, and some are even in rags, which obviously do not tell much about their personality.

　　第5段：In conclusion, although the manner of dress can show a person's personality to some extent, it is not always the case.

　　有没有发现用的是哪种思路呢？

　　这个看见“people/person”分类讨论的思路，还蛮实用。不信你试试这个题：

　　Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

　　The most important goal of education is to teach people how to educate themselves.

　　大意：教育最终的目的是让人们自学。

　　参考思路：赞成

　　转化题目为：论证为什么人们需要自学。

　　用people做分类讨论 ：

　　1.students-自学能力，学术表现，工作和未来。

　　2.working professionals-职场技能和知识更新，不断学习，升职，在竞争中生存

　　3.old people-保持好奇心，预防老年痴呆（dementia），减少和年轻人沟通的障碍。

　　本来写到上面来个戛然而止，回味无穷的，但是写作老师是有强迫症的！一定要写一个本文的conclusion：see？写抽象题目，拼的是逻辑。具体怎么体现的？1）思辨；2）分类讨论。
