Writing Task 2: Some people prefer to stay in the same job for the same company, but others prefer to change jobs frequently. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Advantages of staying in one job

1. Practice makes perfect. After working at a position for a long time, a person is more likely to be familiar with the work procedures and becomes more experienced and skillful when dealing various tasks.

2. Loyal employees are more likely to be promoted. If a person stays in a company longer than other, he or she has more qualifications to have a better chance of being promoted.

3. Staying in the same job increases a person’s self value.

Disadvantages of staying in one job

1. Some companies are not worth a person’s whole career life. Some companies which lag behind are not able to reward their employees and provide a fair promotion system.

2. Some work is so boring and dull that if someone keeps doing it for a long time, he or she tends to be less interested in the work, which results the decline of the whole group.
